VSoftSol Syslog Manager v1.1.2 Latest
New installation first time on this server
Installs the ASP.NET Core 8 Hosting Bundle for you if it is missing — it is built into this file, so it works on a server with no internet access — and then installs the product.

Update already installed
The small file: installs over your existing install and keeps your data. Needs the Hosting Bundle already present, which any existing install has.
Download update file (11.8 MB)
| File | VSoftSolSyslogManagerUpdate-1.1.2.msi |

| Install as | Administrator (right-click the file → Run as administrator, or run it from an elevated prompt). |
Heads-up: these installers are not code-signed yet, so Windows may show “Unknown publisher” or a SmartScreen warning. Compare the SHA-256 above with your download (certutil -hashfile <file> SHA256) before running.
What’s new
- Two separate downloads: one to update, one for a new installation. The new-installation file brings its own .NET prerequisite; the update file stays small. Either can do the other’s job where the prerequisite is already present. The application itself is unchanged from v1.1.1.
- The product version is now defined in one place, so the installer and the bundle can no longer disagree.
How to update an existing install
- Download the update file above and, if you like, compare its SHA-256 with the value shown (
certutil -hashfile VSoftSolSyslogManagerUpdate-1.1.2.msi SHA256). - Run it as Administrator directly over your existing install — there is no need to uninstall first.
- The service is stopped and restarted automatically. Expect a brief gap in collection (seconds to low tens of seconds); schedule the upgrade outside your busiest period if that matters, since a long gap can drop UDP datagrams.
Your database (events, streams, rules, alerts, dashboards, reports, users, audit log), data directory, HTTPS certificate, and listener-port overrides are all preserved.
Tip: before any upgrade you can take an extra safety copy with Settings → Config bundles → Export (rules, streams, devices, users, dashboards, reports, parser packs), or copy the whole data directory while the service is stopped.
